Day 1 – Friday – March 28, 2025 – Paducah, KY
Spring is finally upon us and we are heading to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean to visit the great cities of Macon & Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, & Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Our first day’s travel finds us making our way through the state of Illinois, to Paducah, Kentucky. Our overnight stay will be at the Drury Inn & Suites. (Evening Reception)
Day 2 – Saturday – March 29, 2025 – National Corvette Museum
Breakfast is included this morning before we continue to Bowling Green, Ky. Here, you’ll discover the history of ‘America’s Sports Car’ at the National Corvette Museum. Featuring over 80 Corvettes in periodic settings, the collection includes mint classics, one-of-a-kind prototypes and modern-day wonders of engineering and design. Enjoy interactive trivia kiosks and informative rotating displays. Along the way, pick up a souvenir from the Corvette Store and you’ll have time to grab a bite to eat in the Stingray Grill. From here we’ll continue on to Marrietta, Ga for our overnight stay. (Breakfast Included)
Day 3 – Sunday - March 30, 2025 – Macon GA – Pirates House Restaurant Savannah
After breakfast this morning we travel a short distance to Macon, GA where a local guide will join us for a fascinating look at this city featuring over 30 antebellum homes and mansions. Welcome to the Cherry Blossom Capital of the World! Each March, Macon becomes a pink, cotton-spun paradise as over 350,000 Yoshino cherry trees bloom in all their glory. The festival has become one of the Top 20 Events in the South, Top 50 Events in the U.S., and Top 100 Events in North America.
From here we travel to the fascinating city of Savannah, GA. America’s first planned city, whose entire restored center - more than 1,000 buildings - is a registered National Historic Landmark. It is widely regarded as one of the best travel destinations in the US, and for good reason. Its charming historic district boasts stunning Spanish moss-draped squares and picturesque cobblestone streets showcasing elegant antebellum architecture.
You’ll have time to freshen up before an included dinner this evening. Tonight enjoy a southern dining experience at the historic Pirates’ House Restaurant, which has been welcoming seafarers and visitors since 1753. Overnight will be in Savannah. (B-D)
Day 4 – Monday – March 31, 2025 – Savannah City Tour – Paula Dean's
Breakfast is included again this morning. First, we’ll enjoy a Savannah City Tour with a local guide. Learn about charming Savannah’s history, the nucleus of the colonial settlement in Georgia and the destination of General Sherman’s 1864 “March to the Sea." Pass landmarks such as Forsyth Park and River Street. View the Waving Girl statue, the Cotton Exchange, and Colonial Park Cemetery. Lunch time finds us on River Street, the main stretch at the heart of Savannah’s Waterfront. Stroll along the cobblestone streets of Factors Walk and River Street, where old cotton warehouses have been converted into shops, art galleries and restaurants You’ll find some of the city’s newest and best restaurants here, many of them with brilliant river views. It was once a busy port area, and at one time exported more cotton than anywhere else in the world. You’ll have time to freshen up before an included dinner at Paula Deans famous restaurant. (B-D)
Day 5 – Tuesday - April 1, 2025 - Tybee Island or FREE DAY
No trip to the region would be complete without a visit to Tybee Island. Our local guide will share his/her unique knowledge of the Tybee Lighthouse, the atomic bomb incident, and Fort Pulaski, the Civil War fort. Or you may decide to stay back and enjoy free time to explore Savannah on your own. Tonight is our last overnight in Savannah. (B)
Day 6 – Wednesday - April 2, 2025- Welcome to South Carolina!
We depart Savannah this morning and travel along South Carolina’s scenic coastal route to the charming town of Beaufort, which has retained much of its pre-Civil War character. Enjoy a Beaufort Horse Drawn Carriage Tour to learn about the local Civil War History, see Antebellum & Victorian Architecture, historic churches, and even movie sites as you tour the city. View the scenic waterfront and historic homes of Beaufort. Learn about the Gullah Geechee people and how they trace their ancestry back to West Africa, before their ancestors were forcibly brought to America and enslaved.
Enjoy free time for lunch on own in Beaufort’s Historic District. We continue to Charleston, South Carolina for a two-night stay. Originally founded as Charles Towne in 1670 this cultured and refined city is a beautifully preserved treasure. Steeped in history and quintessentially Southern, the city’s past is evident in its genteel charm. Overnight Charleston, South Carolina. (B)
Day 7 – Thursday – April 3, 2025 – Charleston City Tour
This morning enjoy a Charleston City Tour with a local guide viewing historic homes and restored buildings that have helped give Charleston the reputation as the “charm spot” of the South. Pass by the Old Citadel, the College of Charleston, and the Four Corners of Law. View the Battery, Rainbow Row, and the Charleston Museum. Admire the Old Exchange Building and enjoy a stop at the interesting City Market. Later this afternoon you will board a boat for a harbor cruise. You will see Fort Sumpter from the water. It was here on April 12, 1861 that Confederate troops fired the first shots of the Civil War. Bountiful seafood is a hallmark of these coastal cities. Your included dinner will be at Hyman's Seafood Restaurant, a local legend dating back to the roaring 1890s. (B-D)
Day 8 – Friday – April 4, 2025 – Boone Hall Plantation – Myrtle Beach
After breakfast and check out this morning we’ll visit one of the most photographed plantations in America, Boone Hall Plantation, a 738-acre estate once the center of a cotton plantation and still a working farm. The half-mile impressive entry is lined with Oak Trees and dotted with camellias and azaleas. Following our visit we head to Myrtle Beach.
April is an amazing time to visit Myrtle Beach, SC. The beaches are beautiful, and there is an amazing array of things to do and see. This evening enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants followed by an unforgettable show. The shows in Myrtle Beach are filled with energy, humor, and their passion for music is contagious and will keep you dancing all night. Overnight Myrtle Beach S.C. (B-D)
Day 9 – Saturday – April 5, 2025 - Barefoot Queen Riverboat or FREE DAY
Breakfast is included again this morning and then you have the option of joining your driver and guide for the day or staying back and enjoying the beach and the water. For those that go with us we will board the Barefoot Queen Riverboat. The riverboat is absolutely stunning. This authentic wooden riverboat spans an impressive 70 feet and gives a unique insight into the sailing history of the area. The vessel also features two heated and cooled interior decks and three different outdoor decks to soak in the panoramic views. This ship can accommodate up to 130 passengers. The boat has comfortable seating and adheres. to all Coast Guard inspections and certifications to ensure safe sailing on all of the cruises. Climb aboard and set sail on the Intracoastal Waterway where you will be able to marvel at the stunning scenery in the area. From the wildlife to the Grand Strand, you will be enamored with the beauty of Myrtle Beach. Tonight enjoy another dinner and show. Overnight is in Myrtle Beach. (B-D)
Day 10 – Sunday April 6, 2025 – Charleston West Virginia
Following an included breakfast our travels take us on a beautiful ride thru the Applalachian Mountains thru North Carolina, Virginia and in to West Virginia where we will overnight in Charleston.

Day 11 – Monday – April 7, 2025 – US Air Force Museum – Indianapolis, IN
Breakfast is included again this morning before our journey continues to Dayton Ohio where we stop at The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. It is the world’s largest military aviation museum and features more than 350 aerospace vehicles and missiles and thousands of artifacts amid more than 19 acres of indoor exhibit space. Next, we continue on to Indianapolis for our overnight stay. (B-Evening Reception)
Day 12 – Tuesday - April 8, 2025 - HOME
Our journey homeward continues with arrival in the early evening. (B)
